Someone told me about formatting with markdown instead of HTML and oh boy. I don't know how to feel about changing the way I format my posts. I like html. I don't want to do anything different ~~even if it's easier~~ (this was supposed to be strikethoughed, but didn't happen for some reason?
But they do create much better lists
- just look
- at this list!
- look at it go!
Hmmmm.
Apparently I can still use HTML in markdown formatted posts, just not the other way around.
This post originally looks like this:

Date: 2019-01-29 09:30 pm (UTC)Learning that I can do both in one post may make it easier to adjust? I suppose for now I can just use it for lists and work my way up.
It was such a badge of honor (a.k.a arrogance) of my childhood that I could type HTML tags so easily, so part of it will be dropping that superiority complex (which tbh is always a good thing to drop)

...and that doesn't include the squiggle as strike-through.
I've manually experimented to see whether DW fully implements this 'original' markdown, and I don't have a definite answer (because short-term memory loss makes beta testing hard). I'm drafting a follow-up post to my introduction to markdown. I'd love to hear about your experiences.
